01 / THE WORK

Good teams get stuck.
Let's change the system.

Identify the underlying constraint, evaluate practical options, and implement the right improvements alongside your team.

01

Every change
feels risky.

Inconsistent patterns. Tangled state. A codebase that's harder to change than it should be.

THE FOCUSFrontend architecture

Clear boundaries, reusable patterns, and decisions your team can maintain.

Untangle the architecture
02

The rewrite
keeps growing.

Legacy code needs to move forward. Your product roadmap can't stop while it happens.

THE FOCUSIncremental modernization

Move from legacy frontend code toward React and Next.js in manageable slices.

Make a migration plan
03

Releasing is
the hard part.

Flaky tests. Slow feedback. Manual work that stands between a good change and production.

THE FOCUSEngineering delivery

Practical improvements to testing, CI/CD, and the way your team ships.

03 / SHOWING THE WORK

Better decisions.

A diagnostic should give your team the evidence and priorities needed to make informed decisions.

REACT DELIVERY DIAGNOSTIC

A useful finding.
Not just a red flag.

FINDING 01 / REQUEST LIFECYCLE

Older results can replace a newer search.

The example starts a fetch on each query change but doesn't cancel or ignore earlier requests. A slower response can overwrite the latest result.

fetch(`/api/products?q=${query}`)
  .then(response => response.json())
  .then(setProducts);

Who is this a good fit for?

Software companies with an existing product and engineering team, particularly those using React, Next.js, TypeScript, or GraphQL. Engagements are most effective when there is a defined architecture, modernization, or delivery challenge, with an accountable owner and budget.

Do we need a diagnostic before implementation?

No. When the problem and acceptance criteria are already clear, we can scope an improvement sprint directly. A diagnostic is useful when your team needs evidence and a plan before deciding what to build.

Will you write code or only advise?

Both, depending on the engagement. The diagnostic produces findings and a roadmap, not production changes. Improvement sprints include the agreed implementation. Fractional support can include code within the monthly allowance.

How do you handle access, IP, and AI tools?

Access and ownership are agreed in writing before work begins. Access is limited to what the engagement requires, and tools are approved by the client. Confidential code or data is not entered into AI tools without authorization. A confidentiality agreement can be discussed before sensitive materials are shared.

Who does the work? Do you subcontract it?

The founder is your primary consultant and delivers the agreed work. Any additional specialist involvement would be discussed and approved before anyone else joins the engagement.

Can you work remotely with our team?

Yes. Engagements are designed for remote collaboration. Working overlap, meetings, response expectations, and availability are agreed during scoping. Continuous availability and unlimited support are not included.

What happens if the scope changes?

Changes are reviewed before additional work begins. We agree on revised deliverables, pricing, and timing in writing so that the impact is clear to everyone.
